We are thrilled to announce that Shule Direct has been awarded the prestigious Digital Innovation in Education Award 2023! This recognition is a testament to our dedication to transforming education in Tanzania through accessible and engaging digital learning solutions.

Shule Direct envisions a future where children and youth are knowledgeable and skilled, enabling them to be lifelong learners. This has been delivered over the years through our digital learning platforms, including the Shule Direct students web page, Mobile apps for both Primary and Secondary students, the Elimika learning management system, and the Makini SMS platform offering a wealth of resources from digitized learning notes to quizzes and extra curriculum content all meticulously crafted by qualified Tanzanian teachers and aligned with the national curriculum.

This award underscores the impact Shule Direct is making. With over 525,396 users who accessed our learning platforms in 2023, 354 teachers who received in school training, and an overall performance of 60% which was a 27% improvement in test scores from the average scores of 2022, we’re empowering learners of all ages and backgrounds to access quality education, anytime, anywhere.

This award is a significant milestone for Shule Direct, but it’s just the beginning. We remain committed to pushing boundaries and using technology to bridge the educational divide in Tanzania and beyond.
